These are the glamping events that Kate is currently attending and presenting seminars for in 2017.

This year’s Glamping Show is over September 21st to the 23rd, with TV upcycler extraordinaire Max McMurdo, in attendance once again. When Kate is not running seminars her base will be the Lobby Workshop Room on the left as you enter the show building, do pop in and say hello.

Thursday Sept 21st

11.30 – 12.30  Meet The Experts 1 to 1  Online Bookings Sold Out, 2 appointments available for booking at the show

2.00 – 3.00pm Seminar Million $ Question, What can you actually earn from a Glampsite? 

This seminar will give you the financial low-down on different examples of a glamping project and their potential return on investment.

Friday Sept 22nd  

9.45 – 10.45     Workshop Part 1, ‘Dreams to Reality Sold out

NEW for 2017. A 2-part workshop with a regroup later in the day at 4pm. This start to the show will help you focus on what to look out for, what questions to ask, and which seminars to attend. Your visit will be more productive and you’ll have a few inside tips up your sleeve, too.

Kate once again hosts the Glamping Show’s only seminar where you drive the subject matter. This leading panel of experts all have extensive experience, and will be ready and waiting, ask the question and benefit from their experience. With Clear Sky Safari’s CEO Mark Scott, Canada’s leading glamping entrepeneur Nicole Laframbois, Starbed Hideaway creator Bryony Hancock, and Pegasus Group’s Senior Planning Consultant Marie Stacey.

4pm    Workshop Part 2, Dreams to Reality ~ Regroup 

The second part of the workshop to review & discuss your day, attendance is not obligatory, but it’s a good opportunity to have a catch up and ask questions before you leave.

Saturday Sept 23rd

12.30pm – Seminar   ‘Stand out from the crowd and profit by design’

With guest speaker Carwyn Jones, creator of the ‘Dragon’s Eye’ cabin, winner of Channel 4’s ‘Cabins in the Wild’ TV series. As glamping becomes an increasingly competitive business it becomes more important to be a trailblazer. Expect brain-storming and audience participation, who knows – you might even go away with your own design-led ‘unique selling point’.

The second part of the workshop to review & discuss your day, attendance is not obligatory, but it’s a good opportunity to have a catch up and ask questions before you leave.


The 4th Farm Business Innovation show, in conjunction with ‘Holiday Park’ , ‘Country House’, and ‘Family Attractions’ will be held over November 8th and 9th at the National Exhibition Centre, UK. The show features a wide range of companies and products aimed at land and farm diversification, with a healthy representation from the glamping industry.

This year Kate will be giving a seminar specifically for the Country House Business Innovation sector, details will be published once finalised.


 

Autumn 2017:  Kate has been asked to speak at a countryside creative conference about how glamping is affecting and re-shaping British rural tourism.

2018

Kate will be speaking at new hospitality industry events this year, details to follow.

 


The Institute of Hospitality’ is not an event that Kate speaks at but arranges various events throughout each year.
